Come take a deep dive with one of our most beloved plants: Cottonwood! This offering is a blend of practical knowledge, intuitive communing, and hands-on creation.

We will be meeting outside Meadowsweet Herbs before taking a leisurely saunter down to the Clark Fork River to meet and greet our Cottonwood companions. Walking along the banks of our flowing rivers, we’ll share what we know about this plant: her actions, tendencies, predilections, and relationships with the rest of the wild community. After the left brain learning, we will delve into relating with these trees in the way they are more familiar with: intuition. With some prompting, you will have space to commune in ways that feel true for you, to learn things that are intended just for you or for your community at large. Honing this ancient muscle takes time, and we are devoted to the task of empowering people to learn the traditional way: by listening to the plants! At the tail end, we’ll walk back to the comforting warmth of Meadowsweet where inside we will waltz through the process of making herbal oil, giving some tricks of the trade to ensure long-lasting and medicinally potent oil, and talking about Cottonwood’s actions and applications in oil form. Everyone will go home with body oil to enjoy later!
