Peace For All Baharat 1oz
Ingredients: Wildcrafted stinging nettle, black pepper, nutmeg, paprika, clove, cinnamon, cumin, salt, dried lemon peel
Baharat, translating simply as “spices” in Arabic, originating from Persian “bahar” meaning the same, is a custom-made blend enjoyed throughout the Middle East, including Israel/Palestine. The ancient and not so ancient peoples across Asia and Europe had elaborate trade routes, with one of the main items prioritized being spices. Light and packing a huge punch, they made their way from the North Pacific Islands, Southeast Asia, China, India, East Africa into Europe both by sea and by land along the Silk Road, going through what is now Israel/Palestine and into Europe.
As you enjoy this delicious blend of spices, some from far away places, know that every meal can be a prayer for peace, that every day can be a day of empowerment, and that within each of us is the capacity for love-inspired change.
How to enjoy: Mix into ground meat, soups, or stews. Dry rub onto chicken or steaks. Long, slow cooking is best here!
